LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, Pa.–Police are looking for a man who assaulted a woman during a robbery attempt in Dauphin County early Monday morning.
It happened at the intersection of Huron Drive and Union Deposit Road in Lower Paxton Township. The woman told police she was walking when a man ran out of a wooded area and tried to steal her purse.
When she refused to hand her purse over, the man hit her in the head with what was believed to be a gun, according to police reports. The woman fought off her attacker and he fled the scene.
She was able to flag down a passing motorist and get help. The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
